Everyone loves a parade! Come see local middle school and high school orchestras and bands, fire trucks, antique cars, local dignitaries, boy scouts, girl scouts, dance classes, sponsors, and clowns! The parade begins Saturday at 9:00am. Streets close by 8:50am so come early

Parade Registraion

Parade registration opens up around the first of the June. While it is not manditory that you register we would prefer that you do so we can get an idea of how many entries. When you register there is no need to email to see if we got your registration. Come check us out and see what all the hype is about.

Parade Rules

  • Lineup and Judging
    In Place by 8:30 a.m.
    Judging begins at 8:45 a.m.

  • Parade begins at 9:00 a.m.

  • Line-up subject to change at the Parade Chairman’s discretion.

  • No candy to be thrown by drivers of the vehicle.

  • Floats should be stopped when loading or unloading riders.

  • Sports teams and clubs will only be allowed in the parade with Adult Supervision present at ALL TIMES.

  • Forward motion at an appropriate speed to keep up with the flow of the parade must be maintained at all times.

  • You may be asked to drop out of the parade if you are slowing down the parade.

  • Any parade entry that causes a slowdown or gap in parade movement will be given a warning.

  • All adults on the float or group must be wearing this years Haysville Fall Festival Button during the parade.

  • If problem is not corrected the entry will be removed from the parade.

  • Entrants not complying with these rules and/or not participating in a safe manner will be asked to leave the parade.

  • All entries must comply with directions from parade officials.

  • Parade Chairman will have final authority as to the parade line-up.

  • Any person and/or float not following the rules can and may be removed from the parade by the parade chairperson!
  • Judging Guidelines

    The following criteria will be used to judge the float entries:

  • Float shall be decorated in a manner that reflects the theme. Those not portraying the theme will be ranked lower than those entries that do.

  • Floats should be colorful and eye-catching.

  • The amount of time taken to construct the float (how much labor was involved) will be taken into consideration and ranked accordingly.

  • All components (props/music/etc.) must be in place at time of judging. (This includes people).

    There will be cash prizes for the Best Use of Theme Float - $75.00 and the Parade Marshal's Award - $75.00.

    Winners will be announced Sunday at 4:00 p.m.
